Ruins (Downtown Void #4)

NanoBanana started his Downtown Void project to provide more caches in downtown Houston. I'm joining the effort. This container was designed and printed by him but is not the same as the rest of the series. For now, it's a bison-style tube about two inches long.

I park near this playground several days a week for work. Over the last few years, it has seen steady decline. Where children once jumped and played with raucous laughter now stand weeds and broken concrete, guarding an unsettling silence. I'm not certain, but the timing makes me think it began with the onset of the COVID era. Everything shut down; not everything reopened. When you find this cache, take a look at what was. Maybe say a prayer for the kids, who are, hopefully, enjoying their childhood somewhere else. Somewhere better.

While this cache is available 24/7, I marked it as Not Recommended at Night because of the shenannigans some of Downtown's denizens get into after the sun sets. Be mindful of your surroundings, even more so if you do choose to come at night.
