Most people think slavery is only a thing of the past. Unfortunately, most people are mistaken. Slavery still exists. Today, it's called human trafficking but the basic idea is the same: one person owning and/or transporting another for the purpose of exploiting their vulnerability. This Adventure Lab is an attempt to raise awareness while introducing you to several organizations that exist to combat this evil.
Disclaimer: This topic is by its very nature not very family friendly. I have tried my best to make it appropriate for all ages, but some parents may wish to review the content silently before sharing it with their kids. Personally, I think kids should be informed and involved because (1) they can be quite observant and can help "see and say" when something is amiss, (2) they themselves can be targeted by traffickers, and (3) their friends may unknowingly already be victims.
