I met the CO at Going Caching this year. When I learned that he has roots in the Houston area and still has active caches here, I told him I would find one of them within a few weeks. I then heard on the podcast he co-hosts when his birthday is and decided to wish him a happy one by finding it then. Unfortunately, we won’t be in the area tomorrow for the big day itself, so it’s either now or next year.
I came prepared with the required TOTT and after a puzzle-solving breakfast event this morning, HeyThereDlilah and I headed to Stage One. I expected the task to be a little challenging in bright daylight, but we made it work with a strategically placed jacket. This is the first time I’ve actually earned that attribute! It was so cool!!
Stage Two is at a beautiful location! As we approached GZ, we heard a slew of plop-splashes and wondered what we’d disturbed. I’m pretty sure it was a whole herd of turtles! With a little searching and some almost-falling-in, we made the find, signed “mm+HTD” for space, and headed back to the myrthmobile. This is a fun cache and well-deserving of a fave point! +💚
Thank you, TAZ427, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY-EVE!! God bless! Ephesians 2:8-9
